The Waves and Winds of La Cruz
Bordering Nicaragua is the Northern Pacific coast of Costa Rica, where you can visit fishing villages, white sand beaches where the people are few and the waters crystal clear, and the Junquillal Wildlife Refuge where you will find our special guest: the wind.
ITINERARY
¡Welcome to Costa Rica!
We’ll be with you, from the moment you leave the airport, ready to start your adventure.
Depending on when you arrive, we’ll take you to your first destination in Guanacaste or to a closer hotel to rest.
La Cruz, Guanacaste
Ready to try one of the best dishes in Costa Rica? Gallo pinto is everyone’s favorite. You can accompany your breakfast with coffee or agua dulce (sweet water), made with sugar cane. Another delicious option is freshly homemade tortillas.
We want to share a little bit of Guanacaste history with you. So your first stop will be the Casona at Santa Rosa, one of the oldest and most iconic haciendas in the country. This historical site was the location of the great Santa Rosa Battle.
Your trip will continue towards the Nicaraguan border.
The Beaches of La Cruz
These gorgeous beaches are bathed in the waters of the Pacific Ocean, however this remains an area that few people ever visit. In this barely touched natural environment, you can see coastal flora and fauna that you have never imagined.
A buggy car will take you to enjoy four different beaches: Jobo, Rajada, Soley, and Copal. This is a cool opportunity to see firsthand how locals travel, what they do to have fun and make the most of their personal paradise.
National Wildlife Refuge Junquillal Bay
This wildlife refuge was created to protect the coastal mangroves and tropical dry forest in the region. As you walk through these trails, you will experience the sights, sounds, and even smells of a kind of vegetation you probably didn’t even know existed. We’ll help you search for monkeys, find the best clear waters to swim in, and build a sand castle in the pure, white sand. Why not let the inner child out a bit?
This experience will let you connect with places that few tourists visit, allowing you to fully relax undisturbed and create memories that will last your whole life.
Liberia
We can’t believe the time has come to say goodbye. It’s crazy how fast a week can go by when we are sharing such incredible experiences.
Remember that if you would like to spend more time in this beautiful country, you can personalize your trip, adjusting to as many days as you have available. There is so much to see and experience in Costa Rica, that we could fill a whole year with one-of-a-kind experiences.
You will return to the airport, according to your individual flights.
