In the Clouds of Monteverde
From the lowlands of Guanacaste where waterfalls abound to the misty mountains of Monteverde, you will find yourself in a magical adventure that will show you just how diverse little Costa Rica is.
¡Welcome to Costa Rica!
We’ll be with you, from the moment you leave the airport, ready to start your adventure.
Depending on when you arrive, we’ll take you to your first destination in Guanacaste or to a closer hotel to rest.
Llanos de Cortes Waterfall and Monteverde
For us Ticos, breakfast is hands down the most important meal of the day. We invite you to try our best gallo pinto, accompanied by creamy natilla and tortillas. Of course, we would never forget the cup of fresh coffee.
A few minutes from the main highway, you will find the stunning waterfall we call the Llanos de Cortes. This secret attraction is visited mostly by locals, so you’ll have the chance to get to literally immerse yourself in Guanacaste’s history, village life, and culture.
Cool off in the fresh pool at the base of the waterfall, search for white faced monkeys, or just sit back and relax to the sound of rushing water before setting off for the province of Puntarenas. Enjoy the heat because you will be heading to the peaks of the mountains to surround yourself with clouds and dense green vegetation.
Monteverde Biological Reserve
Have you ever heard of the Quakers? Even if you have, you probably didn’t know that Monteverde was a village founded by a group of Quakers in the 50s. On this trip, you will have the chance to visit some of their descendents and learn more about their not-too-distant experiences.
Imagine walking through the clouds, thousands of feet above the waves of the sea. Clouds and mist form naturally in this cloud forest due to the elevation and humidity. The ecosystems you will witness here, with its very specific biodiversity, is truly one-of-a-kind in the world. Life is just bursting here.
¿Sounds magical, right?
